☀️Sunlight Exposure☀️ – Unlock Your Peak Performance
Hey {{ subscriber.first_name | default: there }},
Today, we’ll be discussing Sunlight exposure, and how it can help YOU sleep, and perform better. All it takes is 15 minutes in the morning, to unlock this boost in energy.
What is Sunlight Exposure?
Sunlight exposure involves spending time outside,
Especially in the morning, to harness the natural light your body needs.
Its a very simple yet powerful way to improve your health and optimize your well-being (especially for you night owls)
Why It Works:
When your skin is exposed to sunlight,
it triggers the release of serotonin in your brain, which enhances mood and alertness.
More importantly, sunlight helps regulate your circadian rhythm—the body’s internal clock—ensuring your sleep-wake cycle stays balanced.
This process is essential for maintaining energy levels, focus, and overall health.
Benefits:
✅ Improve your sleep: Sunlight exposure in the morning helps reset your circadian rhythm, promoting deeper, more restorative sleep at night
✅ Better Mood & Focus: Serotonin released during sunlight exposure lifts your mood and improves mental clarity, helping you stay sharp throughout the day.
✅ Stronger Immune System: Natural light triggers vitamin D production which plays a critical role in immune function, bone health, and reducing inflammation.
Andrew Huberman, the biggest Sunlight Exposure fan, had this to say:
I consider viewing morning sunlight in the top five of all actions that support mental health, physical health and performance. These are: sleep, movement, nutrients, sun, relationships

How to Implement It (Step-by-Step Guide)
1️⃣ Step 1: Get Outside Early
I get it.
Most of us have pretty busy lives, and even busier mornings.
But making that time in the morning, just 5 or 10 minutes, will change the course of your whole day.
Getting EARLY sunlight is crucial for resetting your circadian rhythm and signaling to your body its time to wake up.
That groggy, tired feeling in the morning will instantly go away your first day of sun exposure.
Gotta be early.
2️⃣ Step 2: Make it a Habit
The best way to notice a change quickest, is consistency
Make it part of your routine,
Just like making a coffee, or brushing your teeth, sunlight should be automatic
Every morning, no ifs ands or buts.
Doesn’t matter if its cloudy, or raining, the benefits come all the same
3️⃣ Step 3: Avoid Sunglasses
Allow the light to hit your eyes (no, don’t stare into to sun)
Wearing sunglasses can block the suns natural rays into your eyes, limiting the benefits.
Your eyes play the key role in signaling to your brain that its daytime,
This will regulate your mood, and your energy
💡Bonus Tip: Take a walk, or stretch
To get the most out of your sun time in the morning, pair it with some exercise
Getting some simple physical activity (nothing strenuous) will enhance your mood, and energy
